Syria is buying new MiG 29 jets from Russia, Israel Radio reported Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Israeli defense establishment officials said that the country was developing new solutions in order to maintain is superiority in the region.
Earlier Tuesday, Israel Air Force Commander Maj.-Gen Ido Nehushtan said "we are always watching over the armaments in the North. We study the consequences and how we will need to deal with them."
"Our assessment is that the other side will do what it can to impair the air force's operational abilities," he said.
