Syria tells Turkey to continue pursuing 'terrorist groups'

BEIRUT - Syrian President Bashar Assad told Turkey's foreign minister on Tuesday that Damascus will "not relent in pursuing terrorist groups", Syrian state news agency said.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met Assad to urge him to call off a crackdown on protests against his rule in which activists say at least 1,600 civilians have been killed, making it one of the bloodiest of uprisings in the Arab world.
