TA court court extends detention of murder suspect

The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court on Sunday extended the detention of a man suspected of murdering two men and attempting to kill another in a shooting at the Sportek in Tel Aviv 10 days ago.

Judge Daniel Beeri extended the detention of the suspect, who cannot be named because of a gag order, to allow a police investigation into the double murder to continue unhampered. The court also learned that police are investigating a list of several other people in connection with the double murder.

Both victims, who also cannot be named, were shot at close range. However, the suspect claims that he shot the two men in self-defense.
