'US trying for Netanyahu-Abbas meeting before freeze ends'

The US is trying to organize an additional meeting between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas this week, prior to the scheduled end of the building moratorium on West Bank settlements on September 26, Army Radio reported on Sunday.

According to the report, Palestinian Authority chief negotiator Saeb Erekat is already in Washington and Israeli negotiator Yitzhak Molcho was invited to join him by the Americans.Army Radio reported that Israel was scheduled to decide on Sunday whether or not to send Molcho to Washington to meet Erekat.
