Woman critically hurt bu falling object in J'lem

A woman in her 20s was critically injured when an object fell from a construction site on Jaffa Road in Jerusalem and struck her in the head on Monday morning.

Magen David Adom paramedics evacuated the woman to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital on a ventilator.

Jerusalem police deputy spokeswoman Shlomit Bajshi said the police have opened an investigation into the accident, and that construction had been suspended at the site, the Egged Tower near the Central Bus Station, until the investigation was completed.
