Former media mogul Conrad Black bought himself a few more days of freedom Thursday when the sentencing in his federal fraud trial was postponed until next month. Black was to have been sentenced Nov. 30, but his attorney, Jeffrey Steinback, asked Judge Amy J. St. Eve for additional time to evaluate the government's pre-sentencing report. The one-time newspaper power broker now is due to be sentenced Dec. 10 along with three co-defendants. Steinback said he expects no additional delays. Black is free on $21 million bond, although his travel is restricted.
