Not just for kids
Tnuva has launched a new grown-up chocolate pudding that is so good it easily beats all the others.
Very chocolaty, thick and luscious, Yolo is made from a higher percentage of chocolate solids and is simply too good to pass. There are five different puddings – milk chocolate, white chocolate, bitter chocolate (my favorite), milk with a touch of orange and milk with coconut. NIS 3.44, kosher mehadrin.
Say cheese
Tnuva has launched the Piraeus Delicatessen line of salty white cheeses, including 24% Bulgarian feta, 5% delicate Bulgarian and 5% Tzfatit, all packed in re-closable packages. The new packaging is simple and practical and the cheeses keep fresh longer. A great idea, and Tnuva says prices will be significantly reduced compared to similar products.
No-tears onions
Master Chef has introduced a product once very popular that I almost forgot existed – pre-fried onions flakes. Once a must in most households, these are really crunchy and tasty, and add flavor to quiches, soups, mashed potatoes and many other dishes.
The Master Chef line also includes golden bread crumbs, salad toppings, croutons and more, all made in Israel and great. NIS 13.90, Kosher, available in most food chains.
Sweet delights
Just in time to meet my urge for a good yeast cake, Lachmi Bakery has introduced three new handmade yeast cakes and three new rolled filled cookies, and my diet flew out of the window. The cakes – chocolate, chocolate and halva and chocolate and nougat – are all great and went very quickly, as did the three new rolled cookies, with strawberry jam filling (kids love it), dates and apple cinnamon fillings (more grownup). Cakes are NIS 17.90 for 380 gr. and cookies are NIS 18.90 for 300 gr. Kosher dairy.
Fit to go Go!

It comes in four flavors – honey and hazelnut, bitter chocolate, cranberries and chocolate and coconut and chocolate. The cereal stays very crunchy in milk and each package is divided into two packs for more freshness.
The Go! Fit series also features a line of healthy snacks in the same flavors, shaped like little hearts. All the snacks are less than 100 calories per package. Cereals are NIS 25 for two 340 gr. packages, snacks are NIS 20 for two packages of six snacks.

Kosher prosciutto
Tirat Zvi has introduced two new products that will add flavor to your sandwich – beef prosciutto and Romanianstyle veal pastrami, both very good and flavorful. The 8% fat prosciutto is a good kosher take on the traditional Italian non-kosher delicacy, and can easily replace it in dishes such as prosciutto with melon. The new pastrami is very low in fat (only 3%) and makes for a good sandwich.
Nuggets on the go
Mama-Of has introduced a new series of baked chicken nuggets with only 4% fat, no preservatives and no artificial colorings. The little nuggets are a hit with children (and adults) and are great when on the go. Other products in the baked line of frozen schnitzels will also be marketed now in 500 gr. packages.
