Every Israel Independence Day (Yom Haatzmaut,) pilots from Israel’s Air Force provide a salute to its citizens by flying over the entire country.

Four planes will do acrobatic performances over more than 80 communities in Israel. The annual event will start on May 9th at 9:47 am in Haifa and continue until 12:02 pm in Israel’s southern region.

In addition to the flyovers, Air Force bases will hold ground performances for the crowds of spectators.

Three practice sessions were held over Jerusalem this past week, providing a preview of Thursday’s main event. Here is a sample of what the country will soon see.
