Dalton Winery in Upper Galilee goes solar

The Dalton Winery in the upper Galilee has just purchased two solar arrays from the Sunday Solar Energy Company to produce 100 KW of electricity, Sunday announced Wednesday. The photovoltaic arrays will be mounted on the roof of the winery. Dalton approached Sunday as part of its efforts to green the winery. "The winery has been undergoing a green revolution over the last two years. We use more environmentally friendly materials in the vineyards now, and the logical continuation was to use solar energy to produce electricity for the winery," Dalton CEO Moshe Haviv said in a statement. This is Sunday's second winery installation. It will be installing solar arrays at the Ovdat Vineyard in the Negev as well.
