High-school teachers to strike if handed notices

The High School Teachers Committee announced on Thursday that teachers would strike, disrupting studies and high-school exams, if the Education Ministry went ahead with its plan to hand redundancy notices to more than 600 teachers. The ministry was set to implement the decision due to enforced budget cuts.
