Palestinians claim settlers from Itamar have burned their olive trees
By JPOST.COM STAFF
Palestinians from the village of Awarta in the West Bank claimed Sunday that settlers from Itamar, a settlement near Awarta, reportedly set fire to olive trees belonging to the Palestinian farmers.
The trees, Israel Radio reported, are located in an area adjacent to Itamar, surrounded by a fence. The farmers are allowed to work the grove in coordination with the Judea and Samaria Civil Administration.
The Palestinians accuse the settlers of setting fire to the trees two weeks before they were planning to harvest them.
