Jerusalem film comes to Netivot
The new Cinematheque in Netivot will officially open for business during the Jerusalem Film in Netivot Festival, which will take place August 23-25. Rocker Dudu Tasa will give a free concert, and the Tararam dance-percussion ensemble will perform outdoors.
Movies in the festival program include My Australia by Ami Drozd, which won the audience’s award at this year’s Jerusalem Film Festival; The Dolphin by Danny Mankin and Yonatan Nir, and a documentary called Green Yellow Red by director and Netivot Cinematheque head David Gavro.

Partying in the skies
If having a good time and getting high – literally – is your thing, you’d be best advised to get over to the Jezreel Valley this Monday for the 5 Air Party.
The bash with a difference comes complete with a professional DJ by the name of Reuven Lublin of Ha’uman 17 fame, on call along with Omri H. The production will be overseen by acclaimed Dutch house music event organizer Dick Leijen.
The principal difference between the event and other, more conventionally located ones is that this one will take place in three hot air balloons above the Jezreel Valley.
The balloons will take off at dawn on Monday and, as they say, the sky’s the limit.
