The US military says an American soldier who opened fire on fellow troops, killing five of them, is now in custody.
The shooting occurred about 2 p.m. Monday at Camp Liberty, a sprawling base near Baghdad International Airport.
A US statement said the soldier "suspected of being involved" in the shooting "is currently in custody" but gave no further details.
