Corbyn was deeply involved in efforts to secure the early release of Mordechai Vanunu, who was sent to prison in 1987 for selling Israeli nuclear secrets to the Sunday Times of London.
The cigar-chomping attorney’s clients included Dimona nuclear whistle-blower Mordechai Vanunu, convicted Iran collaborator Nahum Manbar, KGB spy Shabtai Kalmanovich and Interior Minister Arye Deri.
Moredchai Vanunu was jailed and served an 18-year sentence after discussing his work at the Dimona nuclear reactor with a British newspaper in 1986.
