Former Habimah actor Moscu Alkalai died yesterday in Tel Aviv of cancer. He was 76. "He had the characteristics we'd all like to have," said long-time colleague and friend Leah Kenig, recalling the many shows they had done together over the years. Known for his fine character acting, Alkalai was born in Romania and immigrated to Israel in 1962. He joined Habimah in 1975 and was a member of the company until his retirement in 1996. His most recent role was in Dolphins at Beit Lessin. He was active in the actors union, EMI, and was a member of the Channel 2 council. He is survived by his wife, Rodika and two sons. There will be a memorial in his honor at the Cameri Theater today at 12:30 p.m. The funeral cortege will leave from there to Kiryat Shaul.
