Filming has begun for the new season of Rehov Sumsum, Israel's version of Sesame Street. For the first time, the show will include a wheelchair-bound muppet, Sivan, and Kruvi, a blue-furred monster absent since 1983, will make a comeback. Casting has been completed, with Shosha Goren playing Grandma Shoshana, Alex Grechkin playing Boris, Jamil Huri playing Sa'id and Ayala Ingedashet playing Lamelem.
The 30-part series will begin airing in December on the Hop! children's channel.
