Tel Aviv's T Market looks like it's becoming part of the city's mythology. For the third time, this one-stop shopping extravaganza will offer a wide array of T-shirts and accessories by the city's leading shops, fashion designers and graphic artists. However, one of the special features of the event is that it makes a point of including work by fashion students and young designers hoping to establish themselves. Cafe Barzilay, a central location in the Tel Aviv underground culture, will be hosting the T Market this time around. According to the event's organizers, T-shirts are a vital fashion accessory for anyone playing a part in the underground scene. The last T Market, held in April at Ha'oman 17, attracted 13,000 people. Crowds are expected to be large again this time, especially as Tel Avivians continue to sweat through the T-shirts they already own. Featuring T-shirts from shops such as American Apparel, Jiffa, Plasma and HaSnif HaMekomi, and by designers such as Adam Sher, HaMeavrer, Tomer Ben-Canaan, disorder and 220v, T Market will deliver a huge selection, with every size and style at prices from NIS 70 to NIS 120. Along with the threads, a bar will be set up, food vendors will provide eats, and plenty of music will be pumping through the club's sound system, courtesy of a number of DJ sets. Entrance to the event, scheduled for September 15 and 16, is NIS 5. Doors open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. at Caf Barzilay, located at Rehov Harehev 13.
