Hybrid cars have conquered the Israeli market in recent years, and for good reason. This is how it is when the high cost of living characteristic of life in the country forces us to tighten our belts and manage our finances more economically and intelligently. Indeed, one of the biggest expenses in any household budget relates to expenses on family cars, especially fuel and ongoing maintenance costs. In this comparison, hybrid cars emerge as winners as they are more preferable and cost-effective tens of times over compared to cars with only a mechanical drive. In fact, the more the hybrid car utilizes the electric engine, the monthly fuel costs decrease, and according to some estimates, it is possible to achieve a savings of up to 40% on fuel costs each month with hybrid cars.

Technology is the name of the game

Hybrid cars marketed in Israel come in all categories from mini cars, through family SUVs to luxury cars.

For many, the hybrid drive system constitutes the biggest added value of the car, while other aspects like technology, driving experience, and safety receive only secondary consideration. Nevertheless, hybrid cars can be found in the market that also emphasizes these aspects, take for example the Renault ARKANA, the new hybrid SUV from the French brand.

The Renault Arkana hybrid comes with the innovative E-Tech full hybrid technology, offering you a driving experience like no other and excellent energy efficiency. Inspired by the world of motor sports, the self-charging hybrid engine provides the perfect combination of cost savings, performance, and efficiency. The vehicle comes with, among other things (depending on the model), an Easy Link multimedia system with a 9.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.2-inch customizable digital instrument cluster, multisense system for selecting driving modes, ambient lighting, and more.

Up to 80% electric driving in urban areas; up to 40% fuel savings

In city driving, you can enjoy the comfort of electric driving and reduce your fuel consumption by up to 40%, compared to a gasoline engine, along with a significant reduction in emissions. Thanks to the regenerative braking technology, the Arkana E-Tech automatically charges itself during the drive, and all you need to do is activate the B (Brake) driving mode and the battery will charge optimally. So, as soon as you release the accelerator pedal, your vehicle slows down almost to a stop, and the energy generated during braking charges the battery.
