In light of changes in the aviation and tourism sectors amidst the pandemic, San Dor, a subsidiary of El Al, announced a new strategic plan to operate around 40 weekly flights to destinations within a three-hour flight range.

This move aims to enhance competition against rival airlines such as Arkia, Israir, and low-cost carriers already resuming flights to Israel. As part of the new strategy, San Dor customers will also have the option to purchase the "Protect" product, offering flexible cancellation policies.

The updated summer flight schedule includes ten short-haul vacation destinations. Among them are Rhodes and Thessaloniki in Greece, Batumi and Tbilisi in Georgia, Larnaca and Paphos in Cyprus, Warsaw and Krakow in Poland, Tivat in Montenegro, and Chisinau in Moldova. San Dor's CEO, Gil Gershon, presented the company's 2023 results, which marked its best performance since its establishment in 1977. Throughout 2023, the airline flew approximately 804,000 passengers to 11 different vacation destinations.
