The Irish low-cost carrier, which "flexed its muscles" and halted its flights recently, returns to Israel starting June 2, with destinations including Bergamo, Malta, Berlin, Bari, Budapest, and Paphos. A total of 20 weekly flights.

As previously announced, the Irish airline informed that it was suspending its flights until November this year, following the closure of Terminal 1 due to the Gaza conflict. As a result, all low-cost carriers, benefiting from low airport fees at Terminal 1, were transferred to operate from Terminal 3, where they had to pay higher airport fees (from $11 per passenger at Terminal 1 to $26 per passenger at Terminal 3).

Ryanair refused to pay more and demanded from the airport authority to operate from Terminal 3 at the same price it committed from Terminal 1. The airport authority refused, and the airline subsequently halted its flights.

Now, with the airport authority announcing the reopening of Terminal 1 on June 1, the way is paved for Ryanair's return to Israel.
