As Terminal 1 prepares to resume operations, the Airport Authority issues a series of catering tenders. In the first tender, Brooklyn Pizza won the bid to operate a pizzeria in Terminal 1's international departures hall.

The Authority will continue to issue additional catering tenders for coffee shops in the departures hall and public area of Terminal 3. Additionally, it is expected to publish a tender to operate the Grub & Go dining area and more.

Brooklyn Pizza will operate in Terminal 1's international departures hall and expand the existing dining options including: burger restaurants, coffee shops, a sweet corner, and a river bar. The company will immediately begin construction work on the service areas and is expected to operate the pizzeria during 2024.

Brooklyn Pizza is a chain of American-style street pizzerias. Their pizzas are characterized by a larger diameter than usual, with a variety of flavors, including options suitable for vegans. In addition to pizza, the place will sell focaccia, garlic bread, soft drinks, and more.

As previously announced in September, the Airport Authority updated the restaurant lineup at Ben Gurion Airport and issued a series of tenders in the food sector – catering tenders at Terminal 1, Terminal 3, and Duty-Free. Already awarded are Café Café, which will operate the dairy dining area in the departures hall at Terminal 3, Tatti which will operate coffee shops in the arms of Terminal 3, Ilan's network which will operate coffee shops in Terminal 1's international departures hall and more.

In the coming weeks, another wave of tenders in the commercial and catering sector at Ben Gurion Airport is expected, including a tender for operating the parking system at Ben Gurion Airport and Ramon Terminal, a tender for operating coffee shops at Terminal 3, one in the departures hall at Terminal 3, and another in the public hall (Shchakim) of Terminal 3, a tender for operating toy stores at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, a tender for operating VIP facilities at Ben Gurion Airport, and more.

In accordance with the policy set by the Israel Airports Authority in the framework of the new catering tenders, the prices at which food products will be sold at Ben Gurion Airport will be identical to the prices at which they are sold in local café chains, and in addition, each café will sell five products included in the "Basic Product Basket" set by the Israel Airports Authority, including mineral water for NIS five and a large espresso or croissant for only NIS 12.
