The Swords of Iron War is long from over, but despite everything, we try to establish some sort of routine for ourselves. In the days leading up to February, we find ourselves thinking about the blooming South and the carpets of anemones covering the ground. Although we may not be in those days anymore, there's nothing like flower blooms and forest hikes to fill our hearts.

If you feel like seeing anemone flowers, the KKL (Jewish National Fund) forests in the Northern Negev region are an excellent place to do so. During this time, the Shaharia Forest, Nir Moshe Forest, and Yarokhma Forest are filled with colorful flower carpets. Alongside this great spectacle in February, you can also see white almond blossoms.

Shaharia Forest - Among the trails, parking lots, and recreational areas of the Shaharia Forest, you can currently see anemones, cyclamens, desert roses, and more.

Nir Moshe Forest - Alongside bike trails and lookout points, you can see blooming anemones, mustard plants, field horsetails, and asphodels. If you're determined enough, you might even catch a glimpse of the elusive Israeli irises hiding in remote and hidden spots.
