58 Jerusalem light rail drivers strike

Fifty-eight train drivers for Jerusalem's light rail system have gone on strike, Israel Radio reported Sunday.
Citing wages and working conditions, the drivers are striking against transportation company Connex, which called the strike an unjustified act of bullying following months of negotiations including the Histadrut labor federation.
Egged-operated bus lines in Jerusalem are expected to continue operating, while a handful of lines will not run through the end of the strike.
