Abbas outlines his conditions for direct peace talks

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday outlined his conditions for direct peace talks with Israel.
In an interview with Jordanian newspaper Al-Ghad, Abbas said Israel must agree in principal to a third party guarding the borders of the future Palestinian state, which will be established on the lands occupied by Israel in 1967. In addition, Israel must agree in principal to carrying out a land swap that would give the Palestinians new territory instead of that occupied by Jewish settlements blocs.
