Abbas tell Abdullah restoring Hamas ties most important

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas told Jordan's King Abdullah II in Ramallah Monday that nothing was more important to the Palestinian cause at the present time than a complete reconciliation with Hamas, according to PA Foreign Minister Riad Malki.
Malki made the comments during a press conference with his Jordanian counterpart, Nasser Judeh, following the meeting between the PA president and Jordanian King - the first official visit by Abdullah to the West Bank since Abbas assumed the presidency.
The PA foreign minister said that Abbas stressed his desire to return to direct peace negotiations when Israel agrees to stop settlement development, according to Palestinian Ma'an News Agency.
