Abbas: We attempted to meet with Netanyahu but he never responded

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday told Israeli members of the press gathered in Ramallah that he attempted to arrange a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over two months ago, but Netanyahu's office failed to respond to his request, Channel 2 reported.

"Over two months ago I attempted to arrange a meeting with [Netanyahu], but no one from his office responded to my request," the Palestinian leader said.
