Amb. Danon at AIPAC: Terrorism must be paralyzed and not rewarded

Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon spoke Sunday at the AIPAC policy conference in Washington and addressed the need to fight terror as an international community.
"In order to fight terror, the financial engine that enables it to realize its goals must be harmed,' Danon said. "This is of international interest, and next Thursday, Israeli and US security officials will cooperate to advance measures that will harm the transfer of funds to terrorist activity."
Danon said that the State of Israel is a leader in thwarting terrorism financing though the use of intelligence, freezing of assets and other actions acceptable under international law.
"Terror must be paralyzed and not rewarded, and it is time to cut off the oxygen pipelines and to destroy the cornerstones of terrorist organizations operating against Israel and many countries around the world," concluded Danon.
