'Anonymous' hackers attack websites in pro-Assange campaign

Hacking group Anonymous claimed to have taken down a number of official websites, among them that of Interpol and a British police force, in a statement of support for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, Russia Today reported Monday.
Assange has been living in the Ecuadorian embassy's cramped quarters for more than two months since fleeing there to avoid extradition to Sweden, where he is wanted for questioning over rape and sexual assault allegations.
