A woman in her 20s who volunteers at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem was arrested on Sunday on suspicion that she intentionally attempted to disconnect the feeding tube of a two-month-old baby.

Nurses noticed her unusual behavior and gained control of the situation. They then informed the police.

According to Ynet, the volunteer confessed to disconnecting the tube and said that she wasn't mentally stable.

The police requested to extend her arrest, but the court sent her to house arrest.

The hospital said that the baby was okay. "The baby is under the constant supervision of the nursing and medical teams, and due to the suspicion and lack of clarity surrounding the incident, the police were called to investigate," Shaare Zedek said in a statement.
