Israel's High Court of Justice dismissed on Monday a petition filed to limit abortions from the 24th week of pregnancy onwards, Haaretz reported.
The petition, filed by the Be'ad Chaim pro-life association, was denied with the High Court reasoning that due to abortions being a medical issue, there is no valid reason to take the authority to approve or deny abortions away from the Pregnancy Termination Committee.
