Israel to freeze discussing building settlements, outposts - report

Israel on Sunday pledged to stop discussing the approval of building new settlements for four months, as well as West Bank outposts for six months, following the conclusion of the security summit in Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt.

The summary statement following the meeting said that Israel and the Palestinians should both take steps to ensure that no one violates the status quo of Jerusalem's holy sites.
