Israeli security forces thwarted an attempted stabbing attack at a Jordan Valley checkpoint, the military and Israeli media reported on Monday morning.
The IDF reported that after the suspect arrived at the Tayasir Checkpoint, she refused to identify herself.
Terrorist tries to stab soldiers
She subsequently attempted to stab the soldiers stationed at the checkpoint.
The IDF personnel responded with live fire, stopping the attacker. Her condition is unknown. No injuries were reported among the Israeli personnel.
The attack comes amid a recent series of terror attacks. On Sunday, a terrorist opened fire on a bus and a private vehicle in the West Bank, wounding two.
Last week, a youth tried to harm policemen at the Meggido Junction with a hammer.
