Barak meets US officials, discusses Egypt, peace process

Defense Minister Ehud Barak met with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Defense Secretary Robert Gates, and National Security Advisor Tom Donilone at the White House Wednesday where they emphasized the US commitment to Israel's security and its qualitative advantage in the region.
According a press release, Barak met with the US officials for an hour and fifteen minutes, whereby they discussed the events in Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia and Turkey as well as the status of negotiations with the Palestinians.
The US officials also expressed their expectations that Israel would move forward in negotiations with the Palestinians.
