Biden: Israel has absolute right to act on security concerns

Israel has an "absolute right" to act on its security concerns, US Vice President Joe Biden said in an interview aired Wednesday with PBS's Charlie Rose.
Biden was quoted by Bloomberg as saying that while Israel perhaps should not have "dropped people onto" a ship carrying hundreds of pro-Gaza activists, it had "a right to know” what the ship was transporting to the Hamas-controlled Palestinian territory.
The US vice president reportedly urged Israel to be more "generous" to the population of the Gaza Strip.
