Cellular messaging cut in Tehran; 'batons, tear gas used'

Cellular SMS messaging was cut in areas of central Tehran where protests were taking place Monday, BBC Farsi reported.
Al Arabiya reported that police used batons and tear gas on Monday in attempts to disperse demonstrations in Tehran, held in solidarity with the Egyptian people and their overthrow of 30-year-dictator Hosni Mubarak. The Jerusalem Post could not confirm this report.
