Commando knives en route to Hamas intercepted at crossing

Defense Ministry inspectors working with the Shin Bet intercepted on Tuesday a shipment of commando knives headed for Gaza hidden in plumbing tools packages.
The two suspect packages, which arrived at the Kerem Shalom border crossing, contained "professional commando knives that are 30 centimeters long," the Defense Ministry said. Inspectors also intercepted a package containing graphite strips in a package addressed to the Palestinian electric company.
"Graphite is the raw material used to manufacture rocket fuel," the Ministry said. Two investigations are underway into the smuggling attempts.
