Decision on KKL/JNF head delayed

Petah Tikva District Court Judge Yaakov Avraham delayed a decision that had been set for Sunday about the disputed chairmanship of the Keren Kayemet LeYisrael/Jewish National Fund.

Until the next hearing on July 12, Effi Stenzler will remain KKL/JNF head. At Sunday’s hearing, Reform Movement representative Yaron Shavit supported Agriculture Minister Shalom Simhon’s argument that he had been legally elected by the combined Reform/Labor Meretz faction in the Zionist Congress.

Several top Labor officials asked the court to allow them to join Stenzler’s lawsuit against the party, including former Labor chairman Amram Mitzna and Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai.
