Delay expected in voting abroad bill

The coalition will not meet Israel Beiteinu's April 1 dealine of passing a bill allowing Israelis abroad to vote, coalition chairman Ze'ev Elkin said Wednesday.
The bill, which was announced with great fanfare last month, has been delayed due to technical reasons and the current crisis over conversions. Labor announced Wednesday that it would only support giving the right to vote to Israelis abroad for less than a month.
