Despite earlier reports, bin Laden home worth only $250m.

The house in which Osama bin Laden was living in at the time of his death was worth no more than $250,000 despite the US previously describing the house as a $1 million mansion, the Guardian reported on Wednesday.

Revelations on the Abbottabad house are the latest of several false descriptions about bin Laden's hideout which the White House has had to retract in recent days.

According to two property professionals in Abbottabad quoted by the Guardian, bin Laden's home would bring in "Twenty million rupees, maximum. No swimming pool. This is not a posh area. We call it a middling area."
