A truck driver responsible for a hit-and-run incident last week on Route 443 that killed three Palestinians gave himself up to Palestinian security forces in Bethlehem on Tuesday. He was transferred to Israeli police custody in coordination with the Civil Administration. The man, a resident of the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Sur Bahir, overturned with his truck in which he was transporting illegal Palestinian workers, and fled the scene - between the Maccabim-Reut junction and Beit Horon. Apart from the three fatalities, 17 others were injured in the accident, including three seriously.
