Eiland, Mandelblit to appear before Turkel Committee

Maj.-Gen. (res) Giora Eiland was ordered to testify before the Turkel Committee, Army Radio reported on Thursday.

Eiland was scheduled to face the committee - charged with investigating the events surrounding the May 31 Israeli raid of a Gaza-bound aid flotilla - late in August.

Eiland headed a previous committee which investigated the IDF's role in the flotilla raid.

Military Advocate General Avichai Mandelblit was scheduled to appear before the Turkel Commission two days after Eiland.
