EU warns of more Iran sanctions if no signs of progress

BRUSSELS - The European Union will impose tougher sanctions on Iran if it fails to take concrete steps to allay international concerns over its nuclear program, British Foreign Secretary William Hague said on Monday.
Six world powers, including Britain, are due to meet Iranian officials for another round of negotiations over the nuclear issue in Baghdad on May 23.Hague said the EU wanted to see evidence that Tehran was now taking specific steps to reassure the world that its nuclear program does not have a military dimension as many countries suspect.
