Five EU leaders call for respect of Yemen truce deal

PARIS - The leaders of France, Germany, Britain, Italy and Spain called on Monday for all sides in Yemen to respect a truce brokered by Saudi Arabia aimed at halting fighting that has killed more than 200 people.
"We urge all Yemeni civil and military officials to respect the truce established by Saudi Arabian King Abdallah," French President Nicolas Sarkozy, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, British Prime Minister David Cameron and Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Zapatero said in a joint statement.
