Former finance minister son arrested over drunk car crash

The son of former finance minister Avraham Hirschson is under arrestfollowing suspicions that he drove a female passenger on a motorcyclewhile being well over the legal alcohol limit, and then getting into acrash on Sunday night.
The female passenger, aged 24, was seriously injured in the accident.Doctors at the Ichilov Medical Center in Tel Aviv are keeping hersedated and hooked up to a ventilator. The woman may have sufferedbrain damage, doctors said. Her motorcycle helmet was split in twofrom the force of the crash, traffic investigators said.
The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court extended Barak Hirschson's custody byfour days on Monday.
