Gantz: We are committed to bringing home Gilad Schalit

IDF Chief of Staff Maj.-Gen. Benny Gantz said Tuesday that "The State of Israel is committed to making every effort in order to bring [captive IDF] soldier Gilad Schalit home."

Speaking during a Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee meeting he went on to say "I met with the Schalit family one week after I started my job and promised them i would do whatever is necessary."

"Any public debate on the way to bring back Gilad Schalit is wrong and needs to stay closed," Gantz continued.
