Government ministers will gather Thursday morning to debate the state budget for the next two years, Army Radio reported.
According to the report, treasury representatives will request a decrease of NIS three million from the defense budget.
Defense Minister Ehud Barak is expected to firmly oppose the proposal.
A majority of the other ministers are estimated to to support the IDF budget cuts.
