Greek town cancels unveiling of Holocaust monument

The city council of Kavala, Greece, announced Friday its decision to cancel the unveiling of a memorial meant to commemorate the 1,484 members of its community who were murdered in the Holocaust.
The anti-Defamation league expressed outrage over the decision, saying in a statement that, "the mayor and the City Council have insulted the memory of victims, the Greek Jewish community, and Jews around the world, and we join with the Greek Jewish community in voicing our outrage.”
