Hizbullah announces Mikati as nominee for prime minister

Hizbullah announced that it was nominating former Lebanese prime minister Najeeb Mikati as their candidate for to replace Saad Hariri late Sunday night, Lebanese paper Al-Akbar reported.
Mikati, in a statement, said that he views himself as a bridge between the opposing camps in Lebanon, adding, "My candidacy is not against anyone, but an opportunity to reconnect what was lost between the leaders," Al-Akbar reported.
