Hizbullah responds to Barak: We're prepared for any Israeli threat

Hizbullah's Deputy Secretary-General Naim Qassem said on Tuesday that his movement will remain prepared to face any Israeli threat, Al Jazeera reported. The comments came in response to Defense Minister Ehud Barak's comments regarding possible Hizbullah aggression in the future on Tuesday. In an address to the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Barak had stated that Israel will hold the Lebanese government fully responsible for any military action carried out by Hizbullah. Speaking in Beirut, Qassem said that Barak speaks about security and peace, but it is he who is responsible for the aggression. "If the Israelis consider themselves under a threat then they fear us and are worried," Qassem added, "They will fear our resistance and our people."
