IAF jets scramble to intercept Ethiopian plane

IAF fighter jets were scrambled to intercept an Ethiopian Airlines flight on its way to Ben Gurion International Airport after the captain of the plane was delayed in identifying himself to the control tower on Sunday, Israel Radio reported.
A senior official in the Transportation Ministry called the incident proof that the airplane identification system known as "Code Positive" is ineffective and stated that many airlines have refused to adopt it.
